Incorporating other services directed toward promoting total family self-sufficiency, encouraging parents to take an active role in the education of their children and transitioning the children into the school system by mobilizing all available resources through community awareness, involvement, and support.

Head Start
Head Start is a national child development program for children from birth
to age 5, which provides services to promote academic, social and emotional development for income-eligible families.
Fauquier Community Action Head Start program is a federal funded preschool program for income-eligible children, ages 3 to 5 years old who reside in Fauquier County. We provide comprehensive services to enrolled children
and their families which include health, nutrition, family services, social/emotional and educational development.
Head Start recognizes that parents are the first and most important teachers
of their children. We build relationships with families that support well-being, families as learners and lifelong educators, families as advocates and leaders and connecting to the community.
